Just when it seemed South Carolina politics couldn’t get any more absurd, FITSNews and Fox News Radio are both reporting that Governor Nikki Haley appointed a white supremacist to her steering committee.
The person in question is Roan Garcia-Quintana, who the Anti-Defamation League has described as a “white supremacist” and “a well-known leader” in the Council of Conservative Citizens. That group opposes the immigration of “non-European and non-Western peoples into the United States.”
To make this story even stranger, Garcia-Quintana is a Cuban immigrant…so wouldn’t being a member of a group that opposes immigration into the U.S. be extra odd for him?
