Charleston Restaurant Closings (2018 Edition)

With new restaurants constantly opening in the Holy City, it's easy to forget about the many businesses that have closed their doors for good.

To help you keep things straight, Holy City Sinner has compiled a list of restaurants that shuttered in 2018 (click here to see other years):

  • Black Bean Co.
    • 429 King St.
    • Closed in May
  • Butter Tapas
    • Closed in January
    • 5070 International Blvd. in North Charleston

  • Church's Chicken
    • Meeting Street, Sam Rittenberg Avenue, and Dorchester Road locations all closed on 2/10 All of these locations have reopened

  • The Eclectic Cafe & Vinyl (Downtown)
    • Closing on May 27th
    • 132 Spring Street (will be replaced by another coffee shop)

  • Effin B Radio Headquarters (Downtown)
    • Opened on March 1st and closed in May as planned
    • 1503 King St. (former home of Bad Wolf Coffee)
    • Bar from podcast team and food & bev vets Lindsay Collins, Philip Michael Cohen, and Nikki Fairman
  • The Green Goat
    • Closed on May 13th
