Illusionist Howard Blackwell has partnered with Henry's on the Market to bring the Charleston Magic Parlor to the venue's “Whisky Room” starting on February 17th.
The show will start as a monthly event at Henry's. The frequency of the shows are planned to increase during the tourist season or during peek travel times in Charleston.
“I am excited about partnering with Henry's to continue this unique, high-end show downtown,” said Blackwell. “The Charleston Magic Parlor will be more than just a adult magic show; it will be a unique theater experience in an intimate venue.”
The Charleston Magic Parlor is more than just a show; it is an exciting night out. The evening starts with a cocktail hour at Henry's, followed by a fantastic hour and a half theater style show in an intimate parlor setting, then the guests will be invited to enjoy the evening with a few drinks at the rooftop bar overlooking the Holy City. Each show will have seating for 50 people.
The show is classy, stylish and exciting, featuring the magic and mentalism of worldrenowned magician Howard Blackwell. The show is fun and full of audience participation, geared toward adult audiences.
Blackwell, who has performed all over the world, is a four-time Piccolo Spoleto alumni who specializes in performing for adult and corporate audience. Blackwell was also just notified that he was nominated for the prestigious award of “Stage Magician of the Year” from the Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA.
The show moved from The McKee's at 139b to the new venue and the premier show at Henry's is Feb. 17, 2018. Cocktails start at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
