In a continuation of their association, the Charleston RiverDogs and Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB), the world's leading cloud software company powering social good, will carry out a series of joint staff volunteer days to assist community nonprofits throughout the Lowcountry.
A group of RiverDogs and Blackbaud employees will take part in the first of several joint volunteer days throughout the year, including tomorrow on Friday, March 2 from 1-3 p.m. at the Lowcountry Food Bank. Approximately 25 RiverDogs front office members and 25 Blackbaud employees will come together to help sort donations, pack orders and assist in cleaning the facility.
“The RiverDogs are excited to continue our partnership with Blackbaud to both shed light on the important work of nonprofits in the local community and strengthen the ties between our two organizations with similar values,” said RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols.
Along with their continued support of the RiverDogs' staff volunteer days, Blackbaud, the local software and services leader for the global philanthropic community, will continue to have a presence at The Joe throughout the season, sharing the spotlight with a local nonprofit each Monday home game as the presenting sponsor of the “Dogs with a Cause” program.
“We are pleased to partner with the Charleston RiverDogs, who share our value of service and giving back, as the presenting sponsor of Dogs with a Cause,” said Blackbaud Vice President of Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy Rachel Hutchisson. “Dogs with a Cause celebrates local nonprofit organizations and the many ways these organizations are helping good take over. We are excited to join forces with their front office staff to volunteer at area nonprofit organizations throughout 2018.”
