Welcome to the Weekend Buzz on Holy City Sinner. Here's what's happening the second full weekend of February 2019. The following is a list of just a few events and happenings you might want to take part in during the weekend. Consider the list a cornucopia of happenings around the low country of Charleston. The Charleston festival season begins with the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition taking place this weekend Friday-Sunday at area locations with lots happening downtown in Marion Square, Brittlebank Park, & Gaillard Center. The three-day showcase of everything we love about wildlife and nature. It brings together people of all ages, men and women, sportsmen and conservationists, artists and artisans, fans and families. Noted wildlife lover Jeff Corwin will host live shows at Gaillard. Through an incredible lineup of events – from fine art exhibits, conservation education, sporting demonstrations and parties, SEWE invites us all to explore our “wild” side and pay tribute to our naturally beautiful world. Bacon and Bourbon 2019 happens on Saturday night 7-11pm at the Charleston Area Convention Center at North Charleston Coliseum. Bacon Lovers 7:30 pm. The annual Carolina Challenge Cup kicks off this weekend at MUSC Health Stadium. Major League Soccer will be returning to the Lowcountry, for the 15th installment of the Cup, this February 16th, 20th and 23rd! Your South Carolina Stingrays are home all weekend. The Rays play host to Newfoundland Growlers 7pm Friday night. At 7pm Saturday the Rays take on the Jacksonville Icemen. The Circular Congregational Church, 150 Meeting Street is the host location for the 5th Annual Love Is in the Air Concert Saturday 7-8:30pm. On Sunday Camp Happy Days will host the 19th annual NASCAR Oyster Roast and Silent Auction, presented by The Fellowship Society of Charleston. The oyster roast will be held at 1035 Jenkins Rd. West Ashley from noon-6pm. The events will include an oyster roast, silent auction, plenty of food, games and raffles. Tickets are $30 per person in advance and $35 per person at the door. Children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased from any of the Fellowship Society’s members or by credit card.

Creekside Kitchen and Brewhouse, 2600 Savannah Highway host another round of Creekside Comedy Night with Jenn Snyder. Snyder, packs a whole lot of funny in her one-two punch style of comedy. With topics ranging from her days growing up as a lesbian in a “good ol’ boy” town, to her dealing with the public on a daily basis, this comedian will pull you in with her stories and leave you wanting more. Looking for something different. The Alley Charleston, 131 Columbus St host a Winter 2019 SundayFunday Bumpers & Brunch Bowling League on Sunday 1-4pm. Several local wine shops offer wine tastings on Friday night to kick off TGIF. Over in Mt. Charleston Stage in residence at Dock Street Theatre present The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Christopher Boone is a shy, highly introverted but brilliant 15-year-old who lives in a small English town. Threshold Rep Co. present 'Murder at the Howard Johnson's'. Is all fair in love? Even murder? That's the question posed by this light and funny suspense comedy about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson Motor Inn. Flowertown Players at the James F. Dean Theatre in Summerville present Is This Art? Comedy Show on Saturday 8pm. Back by popular demand Is This Art? is bringing talent across state lines! The world famous Windjammer on the Isle of Palms is rocking this weekend. The Midnight City Band perform Friday night at the Jammer.. Tickets are $5. New at the box office this weekend include the family film, 'Isn't It Romantic'.
