More and more people are jumping on the Holy City bandwagon. This time Travel & Leisure announced its World’s Best Awards and Charleston clocked in at #4 on their Top Ten list of Best Cities in the US & Canada. New York, Chicago and San Fran were the only places to beat Chucktown out. New Orleans was right behind us.
The city did fall two spots after claiming second place last year, but we won’t complain too much. The cities were judged on sights, culture/arts, restaurants and food, people, shopping and value.
There were also other categories that featured Charleston landmarks and entities. Others receiving honors were: Kiawah Island, Wentworth Mansion, Market Pavilion Hotel, Planters Inn, Charleston Place, The Inn at Palmetto Bluff and the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
The World’s Best Awards will be on newstands July 20th.
