Wine Under the Oaks to Feature Christopher Cross
Yacht Rock will be sailing into Charleston on Sunday, December 2nd for the Wine Under the Oaks event. Why is the 1980s phenomenon coming to the Holy City? Because one of its ambassadors, Christopher Cross, will be performing at the Boone Hall Plantation party. Cross is best known for his hit songs “Ride Like the Wind” and “Sailing,” which partially defined the genre of music. Local musician Tyler Boone will open for Cross.
Wine Under the Oaks will feature fine wines, gourmet foods, a champagne tent, ice sculptures, and more. Plus, artist Jonathan Green will be displaying his “Gallery Chuma” Gullah art at the event.
Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 on the day-of. The price includes wine samples and food selections. A portion of the proceeds benefit The American Red Cross.
