Multiple restaurants from the Cannonborough and Elliotborough neighborhoods are teaming up to help the boroughs of New York City and the rest of the Northeast effected by Hurricane Sandy. The fundraising event, Boroughs Helping Boroughs, takes place tomorrow (Monday, 12/3) at The Grocery on 4 Cannon Street.
Chefs from many of the city's most popular restaurants will be participating, so you can expect some delicious selections to be available. According to multiple sources the participants include Josh Keeler of Two Boroughs Larder, Mike Lata of The Ordinary, John Ondo of Lana Restaurant & Bar, Robert Stehling of Hominy Grill and Ken Vedrinski of Trattoria Lucca. Each chef will create their own course that will be paired with a wine selection. For dessert, Bill Bowick and David Bouffard from Sugar Bakeshop and Lauren Mitterer from WildFlour Pastry will have some treats prepared.
The fundraiser starts at 6 pm and will you $150 per ticket. All proceeds (including gratuity) will be donated to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. There will also be a silent auction to raise additional funds.
