Remembering Crowfield
Local band Crowfield will play their final show tonight at the Charleston Music Hall, so I felt it was fitting to look back at some of their highlights over the last year (as seen through my eyes).
The group was the first band I covered for this website and one of my first interviews was done with Tyler Mechem the lead singer. I also really liked their music and believed in them. For all of those reasons, Crowfield became a special part of my life here in Charleston. I’m sad I won’t be able to hear anymore new music from the band, but I’m glad I was a tiny part of their history.
5/12/12 – The website’s first mention of Crowfield.
6/28/12 – My review of their two-night stand at the Windjammer.
9/6/12 – Crowfield announces lineup changes.
9/7/12 – The band wins Rock Band of The Year in the Charleston City Paper’s Music Awards.
1/4/13 – The band announces they’re dissolving.
Goodbye and So Long, Crowfield! Best wishes
