The annual First Flush FesTEAval, one of the Lowcountry's more popular events, is scheduled for May 18th at the Charleston Tea Plantation. Now in its 7th year, the event celebrates the start of the tea leaf-picking season.
An impressive lineup of musical acts has been tabbed for the event. Old Crow Medicine Show will headline the festival with support from: The Luke Cunningham Band, Gaslight Street, Quincy Mumford, Stop Light Observations, Sun Dried Vibes, Southwood, Tyler Boone and ZZ Ward*. The official website also promises the inclusion of a "surprise special guest."
***UPDATE, 4/15/13***: ZZ Ward has canceled her appearance.
There will be food trucks, local vendors, and activities throughout the day.
The fun starts at 1 pm on Wadmalaw Island. Tickets can be purchased here.
