The 2013 Folly Beach Wahine Classic returns to the Washout this Saturday and Sunday (6/1-5/2/13).
The all-female surfing competition (Wahine is Hawaiian for “water woman) begins at 8 am on both days and will consist of multiple categories featuring athletes of all ages. Spectators are welcome at all events. Click here for a map of Folly Beach which will show you where the Washout is.
According to FollyBeach.com, recent years have seen over 80 surfers competing in the event.
The Wahine Classic benefits Surfer's Healing, an organization which introduces autistic children to the sport.
