The annual Carolina Green Fair returns on September 22nd, but for the first time in its history, it will call the James Island County Park home. The event had previously been held in Marion Square. Although they are shifting locations, the folks behind the event are ready to bring back popular programs from past years, plus a whole new set of green-themed activities for 2013.
Some of the activities, exhibits and programs include:
- New Belgium Beer
- ITSC & Direct TV Solar Sunday NFL Ticket
- The Green Style Market and Fashion Show
- Re-Trend's Clothing Swap
- KidZone & Eco-Carnival
- Fiery Ron's Home Team BBQ's Green "Fare" and Cooking Demos
- The Medical University of South Carolina's Urban Farm Initiative, Outdoor Fitness and more.
- Nature walks
- Climbing Wall
- Slack lines
County Staff will also be available to educate residents on how to make their homes and businesses more eco-friendly.
The Carolina Green Fair runs from 12 pm until 6 pm and will only cost attendees a $1 admission fee into the James Island County Park. For more information on the event, click here.
