Charleston Police said today they have arrested a 17-year-old West Ashley male and charged him with unlawful communication
and 3rd degree computer crime.

The teen allegedly posted threatening messages directed towards Concord High School in Delaware on EDMODO.com, a social networking site. One of the posts said, “Don’t come to school Monday” and included a picture from the Columbine High School shooting.

According to a press release, the Delaware State Police were notified of the messages by a Concord High student. Their investigation led to the discovery that the messages had come from Charleston. The Charleston Police were soon contacted and the two departments conducted a joint investigation.

The teenager’s bond hearing is set for today at 1 pm.
