The 2nd Annual Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown will feature two days of top-notch barbeque competition, a large vendor village and plenty of entertainment at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina. The culinary event will take place on November 15th and 16th and will be fully sanctioned by The Kansas City Barbeque Society.
Competition categories in this State Championship will include: Chicken Wings, Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket. The chicken wings contest will be held on Friday, while the chicken, pork ribs, pork, and beef brisket are saved for Saturday.
Aside from the competitions, the Throwdown will also include:
- Samples of chicken wings and pork butts for attendees. Plus, both will also be available for purchase
- Numerous food and refreshment options
- Live music performances
- Cooking demonstrations
The Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina will also host a Food Drive benefiting the Lowcountry Food Bank during the event. Patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. As a thank you, they will receive $5.00 off admission. To purchase tickets, click here.
