World No. 12 Sloane Stephens is the third player to commit to playing in the 42nd edition of the Family Circle Cup to be played from March 29th – April 6th, 2014.
Stephens joins World No. 1 and defending champion Serena Williams and World No. 8 Jelena Jankovic as the only competitors scheduled to play thus far. Williams and Jankovic both committed to the tournament in October.
The 20-year-old Stephens is currently the youngest player in the top 20 WTA rankings after amassing a record of 15-4 in Grand Slam play this season.
