Redux Contemporary Art Center will host a talk by local artist Becca Barnet on March 4th at 6 pm.
Barnet specializes in illustrations of animal anatomy, taxidermy, and installation art. Barnet’s talk will be held in conjunction with Redux’s exhibition of Wunderkammer by Kimberly Witham, which consists of photography and taxidermy art that contrasts the natural world against our modern day aesthetic.
Barnet is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration. She studied taxidermy at the Missouri Taxidermy Institute. She has worked on many museum exhibitions including some for the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. You can learn more about her at www.beccabar.net.
