Daniel Doyle, the executive chef at Poogan’s Porch, is returning to the James Beard House on Wednesday, September 10th. This will be the third year in a row that Chef Doyle will cook as a guest chef at the culinary landmark.

His first stop at the James Beard House came in June of 2012, when his menu’s theme was “Lowcountry Elegance”. In February of last year, Chef Doyle cook a “Bourbon-Inspired Southern Feast”. This time around he will be showing off Poogan's style with a “Modern Classic Southern” menu.

Brad Ball, the managing partner and sommelier at Poogan’s Porch, will partner with Chef Doyle to add wine pairings for the meal.

The food menu will include:

  • Duck Purloo - Seared Duck Breast, Cracklins’, Leg Confit, Andouille Sausage, Wild Mushrooms and Carolina Rice
  • Ribs ‘n’ Mac - Hickory Smoked St. Louis Style Ribs with Orecchiette Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Pickled Collard Greens
  • Cobbler ‘n’ Cream - Charred Peach with Bourbon-Mint Ice Cream
  • You can view the menu in its entirety here.

If you can't make the trip to New York City, you can watch Chef Doyle on the new James Beard Kitchen Cam. Viewers can live-stream his dinner preparation starting at 5:30 pm at September 10th. The camera may be accessed here.
