The team at the museum as decided to make the best of this transitional period by hosting the wonderfully-titled “Renovation Celebration” on Saturday, September 27th from 9 am until 9 pm.

The museum will be mostly empty, but it will be packed with party-goers who will enjoy a plethora of events. The first portion of the day will run from 9 am until 4 pm and will be free and open to the public. After yoga on King Street, participants can enjoy interactive technology demonstrations, photo exhibits, live music, food trucks, the Charleston Artist Guild, and more.

After a brief break, the museum will re-open at 6 pm for a celebration in the museum’s courtyard under the stars. Food and drinks will be available from Holy City Brewing, Callie’s Charleston Biscuits, Cory’s Grilled Cheese, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, King of Pops, Pink Bellies, Roadside Seafood, Roti Rolls, Sweet Cece’s, and Wildflour Pastry.
