Lowcountry Cajun Festival Returns for its 24th Consecutive Year
With cajun-themed Mardi Gras celebrations in full swing, it’s easy to forget that the annual Lowcountry Cajun Festival is just around the corner. The James Island County Park will host the 24th edition of the event on Sunday, March 29th.
The party starts at noon and will feature Zydeco music, Cajun/Creole food, children’s activities, entertainment, a crawfish-eating contest, and more.
Some of the food that will be available for purchase includes: jambalaya, alligator, etouffee, andouille sausage, and of course, crawfish. Not a fan of New Orleans-styled cuisine? There are also plenty of other options available.
Live Zydeco music will be provided by the Roux du Bayou Cajun Band and Jeffrey Broussard & the Creole Cowboys.
The event is $15 per person, but free for Gold Pass Members and children under the age of 13. Pets are not allowed at this event. For more information, click here.
