On Wednesday, May 27th at 7 pm, The Local Palate will present “Toast to Spoleto,” an event that blends Southern charm with Italian culture. The party will also celebrate Spoleto Festival USA and the cuisine of Spoleto, Italy.
The evening will include dishes from five renowned chefs and the chance to meet the cast of the Italian opera Veremonda, L’Amazzone Di Aragona and Spoleto General Director Nigel Redden.
The participating chefs include
- Giovanna Tarli Tomassoni of Spoleto, Italy
- Michael Toscano formally of Perla in NYC
- Andrew Ticer and Michael Hudman of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen in Memphis
- Ken Vedrinski of Trattoria Lucca and Coda del Pesce
The chefs will prepare small plates of dishes inspired by Umbria (a region of central Italy), to go with wine pairings from the same area.
