GLAAD, the nation’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization is embarking on a six-state, ten-city tour to highlight stories of LGBT southerners. The group will be in Charleston on Monday, June 15th at 5:30 pm.
During each stop on the tour, GLAAD will spotlight stories from the LGBT community that are accelerating acceptance. The Holy City visit will include a reception, a mini-documentary screening, and a panel discussion at the William Aiken House at 456 King Street.
The short film, "State of Change – South Carolina," chronicles "pioneers in the Palmetto State's movement for LGBT equality and lifts up the stories of LGBT South Carolinians and their allies working to accelerate acceptance."
