Holy City Comic Con Debuts on January 23rd

holycitycomicconThe inaugural Holy City Comic Con will be held on Saturday, January 23rd at the Memminger Auditorium. The event will consist of a vendor expo and a Cosplay Party.

The expo will run from 11 am to 3 pm and includes:

  • Photo opportunities with The 501st Legion and other favorite superheros

The expo will be followed by a Cosplay party from  7 pm to 11 pm. This event will include:

  • Live music from DJ Kilgo, DJ Kevbo, and other DJs
  • Light and video production
  • Video and arcade games
  • Dance performances
  • Jedi lightsaber duel
  • Comedian and EMCEE David “Apples” Appleton of Theatre 99
  • An open bar featuring specialty drinks
    • Free for Superhero ticket holders
    • Available for purchase for General Admission ticket holders
  • All attendees are invited to dress in costume and participate in a costume contest. The winner will receive a cash prize

Superhero tickets are $65 in advance. General Admission tickets, which just includes entrance into the event, can be purchased for $30. For more information, or to buy tickets, click here.

The official After Party will take place at Republic Garden & Lounge. A Holy City Comic Con ticket is good for free entrance into the bar.

A portion of the proceeds from Comic Con will benefit Redux Contemporary Art Center.
