Five days after saying that they would officially open their doors on Tuesday, August 2nd, Cane Rhum Bar & Caribbean Kitchen surprised the city this morning by announcing they would be open today from 4 pm until 10 pm.
The restaurant's social media accounts state that they decided to open today to celebrate Black Tot Day with Pusser's Rum. The celebration memorializes the day the Royal Navy discontinued its daily rum ration (the daily tot).

The establishment is in the former Big John's Tavern location at 251 East Bay Street.
