11th Annual Charleston Duck Race Scheduled for June
The 11th annual Charleston Duck Race for charity will be held on Saturday, June 10th at the Daniel Island Waterfront Park and Community Pier beginning at 10 am.
The event includes cash prizes, games, food trucks, jump castles, face painters, music, and, of course, the rubber duck race. Approximately 30,000 rubber ducks will be dropped from the Mark Clark Bridge into the Wando River where they “race” to the Waterfront Park. Charlestonians can “adopt” a duck (or ducks) and win cash prizes for a top-tier finish. The first place prize is $10,000!
Proceeds from the duck race are used to fund Rotary community service programs. Over the past 10 years, this event has raised over $1,000,000 for local beneficiaries and Rotary projects worldwide.
