The Green Heart Project’s 7th Annual Harvest Dinner is Thursday
On Thursday, May 18th, local non-profit organization The Green Heart Project will partner with the students and faculty of Mitchell Elementary School for the 7th annual Harvest Dinner. The event is open to the community and will be held from 5:30 to 8 pm.
The Harvest Dinner, presented by Limehouse Produce, is the Green Heart Project’s end of the year fundraiser and celebration of the work and learning that has taken place in their five school garden programs in the Charleston Area. The event will take place alongside their flagship urban farm at Mitchell Elementary School.
The event will also include live music, a jump castle, a community art board, student garden tours, and student-booths from each of Green Heart’s five school garden programs. The neighborhood-potluck style dinner will feature BBQ and fruits and veggies sourced from local farms and Green Heart’s school gardens.
Tickets are $20 for community members, $10 for students, and free for children 12 & under. Proceeds from the tickets, which can be purchased here, will support the Green Heart Project and the farm-to-school programs it runs in the Charleston Area.
