Back in April, Charleston’s Wich Cream? launched a new series of flavors that will each pay tribute to a different local farmer. The ice cream sandwich company will donate a dollar from every tribute wich sold - both mini and regular sizes - back to the farmer.
The second flavor in the series is "Blueberry Cheri," which honors Cheri and Robert Ward of Blue Pearl Farms in McClellanville. The ice cream is made with roasted blueberries from the farm and chamomile. It's paired with Wich Cream's? blonde Carolina gourdseed wafers that have been glazed with Blue Pearl Farms honey.
The tribute series creams are available at Charleston area farmer’s markets (downtown Charleston, West Ashley, Sunday Brunch, Johns Island, and Mt. Pleasant).
