The festivities begin with a free, 45-minute “Sun Salutations” yoga class led by the team at STUDIO 33. The class is open to yogis of all ages and skill levels. Attendees should bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
Throughout the event, attendees are invited to take part in the Solar Sidewalk Art Contest. Sign up on the Village Green to create your best chalk drawing. Prizes for best solar-themed drawings will be awarded to one winner in each age group (Under 5, 5-8, 8-12, and 12+).
FortyEight will serve beer, wine, and specialty solar eclipse drinks at their outdoor bar. DJ Moo Moo will be playing tunes throughout the afternoon, including a solar themed musical montage during the eclipse.
Live NASA coverage of the eclipse will be screened on the Village Green. Beach chairs and blankets are encouraged.
A limited number of free eclipse glasses will distributed. Additional glasses will be available for purchase at retail locations throughout the Village.
