After a successful inaugural event last year, EVO Pizzeria and The Brew Cellar will host the 2nd annual Park Circle Oktoberfest at O’Hear Avenue and Empire Avenue in North Charleston on September 30th from noon to 6 pm.
The festival is a free, all ages event featuring local food and beverages, vendors, live music, and more.
Participating breweries will include Palmetto Brewing Co., Stone Brewing, New Belguim Brewing Co., Hi-Wire Brewing, Jekyll Brewing Co., and Wicked Weed. They will all bring vintage brews and/or special one-offs to display in the specialty beer tent. Beers and release times will be posted in the coming weeks. In addition, Stems & Skins and Accent on Wine will have wine offerings.
Over 20 local food vendors will be on site offering traditional Bavarian Fare with a few twists. Vendors include EVO Pizzeria, Fratello’s Italian Tavern, Madra Rua Irish Pub, LoLa, Roti Rolls, Bked, Dashi, Diggity Doughnuts, Immortal Lobster, Just Eat This, Happy Thai, King of Pops, Steve’s Authentic Key Lime, and Kaylea Cupcakes. All food and beverage options are pay-as-you-go.
Awendaw Green will present live music from local groups like Fusion Jonez, Cameron & the Funk Dumplins, and The Charleston Symphony Orchestra Polka Band.
Attendees can also enjoy Oktoberfest competitions like a stein hoist and a beer carrying contest.
Plus, attendees can learn about the nearby Garco Mill development and listen to Mayor Keith Summey and the North Charleston City Council discuss future development in Park Circle.
Free parking will be available on site. The event parking area can be entered directly from Virginia Avenue or from O’Hear Ave. Click here for more info.
