Local product creation company Distil Union has partnered with six local artists of varying expertise to create one-of-a-kind designs for the Wally Case, the company’s popular leather iPhone case that features a card-holding pocket.
Distil Union describes themselves as "a micro-collective of designers in Charleston who are...creating solutions to real-life problems."
The collaborators on the iPhone case project range from printmakers to taxidermists. They are Becca Barnet, Chechel Justiss, INK MEETS PAPER, Patch Whisky, Perla Anne Press, and YESAND. Each artist applied their personal touch to the Wally Case and created a unique work intended to be etched into leather.
For the next four weeks, Distil Union will laser engrave a customer’s choice of these six designs onto the Wally Case that matches their iPhone and style. The Artist Series Wally Cases fit iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8 and 8 Plus models.
