Wonder Works Introduces STORY CRAZE with Trick-or-Treat Event this Weekend

Imagine a "Sharkbearigator" invading "Unicornlandia" or a zombie taking a magic carpet ride through a rainbow waterfall. What movie or fairy-tale are these story lines from? They are one of countless possibilities that can be created with STORY CRAZE, the new hilarious and educational creative writing and storytelling game. On Saturday, October 28th, Wonder Works (Mount Pleasant and West Ashley locations) invite families to come trick-or-treat while checking out this new game that was developed in Charleston. Members of TEAM CRAZY, the local kids who helped create the game, will be on hand to sign games and posters! Come in costume and win prizes!

“The backstory of STORY CRAZE is simple. In the age of technology, we found that kids are spending more and more time behind screens and their imaginations were being stunted,” says Marcie Jacobs, the creator of the game, “so we collaborated with 30+ local kids and went to work to create an experience where they could let their imaginations run wild with wacky ideas, silly combinations and crazy stories.”

STORY CRAZE is designed for children 6+, and is guaranteed to provide entertainment and laughs for the whole family. The game uses random PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS cards as cues to ignite outside the box thinking resulting in hundreds of outrageously witty, laugh out loud stories.

The event will be held from 10 am-12 pm at the Mount Pleasant Wonder Works and 1 – 3 pm at the West Ashley Wonder Works. Each store will hold an original Craze-y costume contest with prizes. Event attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and swap stories with the kid inventors. STORY CRAZE will be available for purchase in store for 20% off on the day of the event only and will come with a Crazy Clubhouse poster. Christine Osborne of Wonder Works said, “We are excited to introduce this awesome new game to the Lowcountry! Kids and parents LOVE it!”
