Follywood Productions and Lagunitas Brewing Co. will be raising funds and awareness for the Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF) at the 8th Annual Follywood Oyster Roast at The Barrel on Saturday, January 27th.
Andrew Manzi, Folly Beach resident and co-founder of WSF, received a CNN Hero Award in December for his work helping veterans and their families cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. WSF is a veteran-operated nonprofit organization helping vets with PTSD, physical injuries, survivor’s guilt, and social anxiety through surfing therapy.
Doors for the oyster roast will open at noon and includes live music from 1 pm to 9 pm, food trucks, art vendors, kids' activities, and more.
The live music schedule is as follows:
1 pm - 2:30 pm - Jimmy Buffett Tribute by Folly Pirates Over Forty
3 pm - 5 pm -Allman Brothers & Grateful Dead Tribute by Grateful Brothers
5:30 pm - 7 pm - Rolling Stones Tribute by Guilt Ridden Troubadour with Campbell Brown & Josh Roberts
7:30 pm - 9 pm - Led Zeppelin Tribute by Wax Groove Revival
Admission for the 8th Annual Follywood Oyster Roast is $14 in advance or $15 at the door. Kids 10 and under get in free. Tickets are on sale now here.
FYI - Although The Barrel is normally pet-friendly, no pets will be allowed at this event. This is due to the expected crowd size.
Parking is very limited. Shuttle service will be available at certain times throughout the day aboard the Graffiti Limo from the Folly Beach Harris Teeter. Carpooling, Uber / Lyft, and the shuttle are highly encouraged.
