Pet Helpers, a Charleston shelter dedicated to ending the euthanasia of adoptable animals through low-cost spay/neuter and adoptions, has two big events coming up.
On Sunday, April 29th, you can join the organization at The Washout on Folly Beach for the "Shuck Your Paws Off Oyster Roast." The event will include live music with the Shakin Martinins, vegetarian chili, hot dogs, a raffle, and plenty of oysters. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here. The celebrations will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm.
On Friday, May 4th, Pet Helpers will celebrate 40 years of saving animals and being the first no kill shelter in Charleston. They will mark the occasion during the Charleston RiverDogs' home game at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Stadium with their staff, board members, and volunteers. All adopters are invited to bring their alumni dogs to section 101 at 6:15 pm to come circle the outfield before the game and join in on the festivities. There will have a kissing booth, giveaways, and fun for the whole family. Tickets are available at Riverdogs.com/groups Passwo
