On July 14th, Riverfront Park in North Charleston will host what may be the most random concert ever – although the 2015 Lipton Be More Tea Festival at the same venue could also claim that designation. This time around, the diverse lineup is courtesy of the Bud Light Getaway, “a multi-genre, one-day summer hangout,” featuring country music star Sam Hunt, emo heroes Dashboard Confessional, hip hop artist Lil Jon, and singer-songwriter Harry Hudson.
Tickets for the concert are on sale now and can be purchased here. All revenue from the show will be donated to the Grand Strand Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Attendees must be 21+ to enter. Doors open at 5 pm.
The first-ever Bud Light Getaway will be headlined by Sam Hunt, a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum artist. He is known for singles like “Leave the Night On,” “Take Your Time,” “Make You Miss Me,” and more.
Dashboard Confessional is fronted by lead singer and guitarist Chris Carrabba. The group is known for songs like “Screaming Infidelities,” “Hands Down,” “Vindicated,” and “Belle of the Boulevard.”
Grammy-winning rapper, DJ, and producer Lil Jon will also perform at the event. He is known for his performances on hit songs like “Get Low,” “Turn Down for What,” and “Yeah!.”
Rising star Harry Hudson is a folk-pop artist whose most recent album, Yesterday’s Tomorrow Night, was released on March 30th.
In addition to the musical performances, the Bud Light Getaway will feature pop-ups throughout the grounds for fans to enjoy. These include Bud Light’s mobile brewery, a Stitch Shop with exclusive Bud Light Getaway merchandise, an onsite Dive Bar for intimate musical performances, and a Citrus Summer Lounge – a space featuring the company’s newest options, Bud Light Lime and Bud Light Orange.
As with past Bud Light music programs, fans can expect to have access to Fastbar – a program utilizing RFID technology to allow quick and cashless purchases to reduce bar lines. Attendees can register online and pick up a wristband upon entering the venue.
