Fundraiser Breakfast and 5K to Raise Awareness and Funds to Fight Human Trafficking

A21 - A Heart for Freedom, the Charleston chapter of the global A21 organization, which aims to fight Human Trafficking through awareness, intervention, and aftercare, will host two events in the Charleston area this September.

The local chapter is using both events to raise awareness of human trafficking, which is happening right here in Charleston. In fact, the Holy City is the second most trafficked city in South Carolina.

On Saturday, September 15th, the organization will host its 2nd Annual Heart for Freedom Fundraiser Breakfast at the Passage Apt. Community in Summerville. A $10 ticket will get you mimosas, bloody mary’s, a crepe bar, frittatas, fruit, juice, coffee, and more. More information and tickets can be found on the Facebook event.

On Saturday, September 29th from 9 am to 1 pm, the group will present the A21 Heart for Freedom 5K Walk/Run. After the event, attendees can enjoy food and merchandise from local vendors and live music. More information and tickets for the 5K ($25 per person) can be found on the Facebook event page.
