Focus on Fabulous magazine will celebrate its three-year anniversary with a party on Sunday, September 9th, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Amici’s Italian Bistro at 7648 Northwoods Blvd. in North Charleston. The event is free and open to the public.
The birthday bash will be a celebration and recognition of contributors, sponsors, and subscribers, including the introduction of new and upcoming features and exciting things in store for the upcoming year. There will also be a chance for business owners to introduce themselves and get connected with other local businesses. The special moment in the event will be the revelation of the first Fabulous Female Entrepreneur Award, a scholarship provided to a rising, new entrepreneur. Door prizes, food, and entertainment will round out the activities for the day. Raffle tickets, full menu items and bar drinks will be available for purchase.
Last year, Charleston Mayor John Tecklenberg declared September 8th as Focus on Fabulous Day. Focus on Fabulous day is the brainchild of Michelle Bryant Griffin, owner of Focus on Fabulous, LLC. The purpose of the day is to create a worldwide focus on recognizing beauty, dedication, and loveliness that often lays hidden and unseen in all people and their surroundings. Focus on Fabulous magazine will continue that tradition at this year’s bash.
For the past three years, Focus on Fabulous magazine has been turning attention to the unseen beauty in the world around us, featuring personal stories and inspirational articles to encourage, inspire, educate, and motivate its readers. “We are different from any other magazine out there today,” said publisher and editor-in-chief Michelle Bryant-Griffin. “This is the type of magazine that makes you want to sit down in a quiet place away from ‘a screen,’ read and reflect on what is beautiful and lovely amidst us. It’s not gossip or politics. It’s page after page of real yet extraordinary people living real lives telling their amazing stories.”
