Renzo, a pizzeria and wine bar on Huger Street, was recently included in Thrillist’s list of the country’s Best New Restaurants in 2018. Making the feat even more impressive is the fact that only 13 eateries were chosen for inclusion on the list.
The stellar description of the restaurant starts as follows:
“On the surface, there is nothing about Renzo that appears to be revolutionary. The menu is a mix of pizzas, salad-ish things, and a handful of pastas. The wine list is fun and not overly spendy. The dessert menu is populated with just ice cream. And the space is beautiful and restrained. But that is the genius of Renzo — everything is simple, just upgraded.”
The praise only gets better from there as the website describes some of the restaurant’s wood-fired Neo-Neapolitan pies like the Elote (charred corn, Parmesan, guajillo chiles) and Wrath of Kahan (chorizo, dates, and piquillo pepper sauce) pizzas.
