Home Team BBQ’s downtown location will team up with local fitness center The Works for a special collaboration benefiting Hogs for the Cause. On January 6th at 9 am, attendees will experience a dynamic blend of powerful vinyasa yoga, meditation, breathwork, plyometrics, core, and strength work, followed by guests’ choice of one mimosa or Bloody Mary, and an exclusive menu of healthy bites from Home Team BBQ.
Food options will include Smoked Shrimp Taco (pit smoked shrimp, fennel, white bean purée, ancho-pepita salsa, pickled veg, cilantro), a Local Salad (local winter greens, cabbage, radish, shaved turnips, parsley, almonds, chile oil, smoked poblano vinaigrette), as well as a Frittata (pit smoked ham, parmesan, melted leeks, local greens, lemon vinaigrette).
Brunch cocktails, including Gamechangers and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages (citrus and cucumber-mint), will be available after the class, and all are encouraged to stick around for Home Team’s full brunch menu, which will begin service at 11 am.
Tickets to the event are limited and cost $45 per person. All proceeds from the event will benefit Home Team’s year-long campaign to raise funds for Hogs for the Cause, the premier funding source for families affected by pediatric brain cancer. With the help of the surrounding communities, Home Team raised $40,000 alone for Hogs for the Cause in 2018 and looks to exceed this number in 2019 via in-restaurant pop-up events, menu specials, and their annual Rock the Block event.
