CARTA to Provide Free Service to Warming Shelter Jan. 24-25

The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) will provide free transportation to the Aldersgate warming shelter located at 1444 Remount Rd. in North Charleston on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 24-25.

Those seeking shelter should wait at a Route 13 Remount Road bus stop and inform the driver that they wish to travel to the shelter. Passengers will be transported to the warming shelter located in the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Service announcements will be made via CARTA social media channels if and when additional shelters are opened.
