The Charleston Forum's CEO Brian Duffy has been named the recipient of the Atlantic Institute's 2019 Peace and Dialogue Award in recognition of his efforts to foster meaningful dialogue and change in his community. This year's Peace and Dialogue Award Dinner was held on Thursday, April 25th at the Citadel Holliday Alumni Center and focused on people and organizations in the Lowcountry who strive to increase diversity and build intercultural relationships through public service.
“The Charleston Forum's goal is to help our community overcome racial barriers we continue to face in our communities,” Duffy said. “I'm honored to be recognized, but we have a long way to go, and I'm excited for what this year's forum is going to bring.”
Professionals from a variety of backgrounds joined in the celebration of community leadership. Former Mayor Joe Riley was the keynote speaker and Peter Shahid served as the Master of Ceremonies.
