Welcome to the Weekend Buzz on Holy City Sinner. Here's what's happening the second full weekend of June 2019. The following is a list of just a few events and happenings you might want to take part in during the weekend. Consider the list a cornucopia of happenings around the Lowcountry of Charleston. The annual Party at the Point Summer Series kicks off this Friday at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina on Patriots Point. This Friday enjoy Randall Fowler w/ Lauren Hall. The party runs 5:30-8:30pm with $8 admission.
The 11th annual Run the Runway 5K race will take place on Saturday at 8 a.m. @ JB Charleston-Air Base and is open to the public! Come out and experience running on the JB Charleston runway. The 3.1 mile course is USA Track & Field certified and takes participants running past a fleet of U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. Online registration is available until June 13 @ 4:59pm. There will be race day registration which will only include a race bib, eligibility for a race award and refreshments. The Charleston Music Hall is quiet this weekend. Friday & Saturday are TBA. On Sunday come out for the 2019 Charleston Forum. The Charleston Forum provides the community with different perspectives on issues involving race and a direct path to address issues of criminal justice and policing, education, economic opportunity, and the future of the past. Saturday it's another Creekside Comedy Night with TK Kelly. Creekside Comedy Night just keeps bringing killer stand up comedy shows to Charleston. This time it's TK Kelly, writer for Tosh.O and Joseph Coker, one of Charleston's very best. Your host Keith Big Daddy Dee, as always, guarantees laughter. Club located at 2600 Savannah Highway. Ms. Rose's Fine Food and Cocktails hosts Comedy Hour this Saturday, featuring the hilarious Rollin Jay Moore and Greg Patterson with your host Drew Howard. On Saturday 9-2pm the Omar Shrine Temple host OMAR Cowboy's Summer Shootout Open Auto & Bike Show. Bring in your classic hot rod or motorcycle. Entry $30. Proceeds go to support the Omar Shrine Cowboys who support Shrine Hospital's.
Ghost Monkey Brewery 522 Wando Ln Mt Pleasant host Motors At The Monkey this Sunday. Ghost Monkey Brewery teamed up with Elliot Remington to bring this great monthly event to the lot. Every 3rd Sunday of the month we'll close down our lot for those that want to show off their ride! Like to check out what others are riding in? Just want to talk cars? No problem, all are welcome! There will be a food truck on hand as well.

Your Charleston Riverdogs host Greenville this weekend at 'the Joe'. Friday game time is 7pm with fireworks after the contest. First pitch Saturday is 6pm as the Dogs present 1000 T-Shirt toss. Sundays are always Family Day with Father's Day this Sunday at the Joe. Free parking, kids eat free and can run the bases after the game. First pitch is 5pm Sunday. Freshfields Village at Kiawah & Seabrook Island entrances continue the Music on the Green Summer Series this weekend with a bang. Friday nights show will feature Louie D Project 6-9pm playing Motown, beach, pop & rock. The event is complimentary and family-friendly. Vendors will be set up with food and beverages for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
Your Charleston County Waterparks are open this weekend. They include Whirlin' Waters at Wannamaker in N. Charleston, Splash Island at Palmetto Island County in Mt. Pleasant, and Splash Zone at James Island County Park. The three parks will open daily at the end of May and beginning of June. The Charleston City Night Market is an exciting showcase of more than 100 talented artists and craftspeople that occurs every Friday and Saturday evening from March - December. The Sound of Charleston, the city's longest running musical production, has been performing continuously since 2010. The shows feature the music of Charleston's history, from gospel to Gershwin, including spirituals, Civil War camp songs, Gullah, jazz, Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" and "Porgy and Bess", composed locally on Folly Beach, and light classics of the St. Cecelia Society, one of America's foremost social and cultural organizations. Several local wine shops offer wine tastings on Friday night to kick off TGIF. Over in Mt. Pleasant join Des at Crushed Fine Wine at 716 S Shelmore Blvd from 5-7pm as he hosts locals and samples some of the finest wines from around the world and different regions of America. The world famous Windjammer on the Isle of Palms is rocking this weekend. Friday night at the Jammer it's Bon Jovi cover band 'Slippery When Wet'. New this weekend at the box office include 'Men in Black: International'. Agent H and Agent M use high-tech weaponry to battle mischievous aliens that can take the form of any human. Stars Chris Hemsworth & Tessa Thompson. Rate PG13. Also new the dark comedy, 'The Dead Don't Die' starring Charleston's favorite son Bill Murray. In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviors. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned, but no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle to survive.
