Welcome to the Weekend Buzz on Holy City Sinner. Here's what's happening the last full weekend of June 2019. The following is a list of just a few events and happenings you might want to take part in during the weekend. Consider the list a cornucopia of happenings around the Lowcountry of Charleston. The annual Party at the Point Summer Series continues this Friday at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina on Patriots Point. This Friday enjoy Departure, The Ultimate Journey Tribute Band. The party runs 5:30-8:30pm with $8 admission.

The incomparable Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons perform Saturday night at the Gaillard Center. Showtime is 7:30pm. Thanks to the volcanic success of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, which chronicles the life and times of Frankie and his legendary group, such classic songs as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Rag Doll,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” are all the rage all over again. The Charleston Music Hall is quiet this weekend. Friday night it's the Luther Vandross Experience featuring Danny Clay. Tickets $39 for 8pm show. Dinner Add On option available for an additional $32. Your Charleston Riverdogs host the Asheville Tourists this weekend at 'the Joe'. Game time is 7pm Friday followed by fireworks. Saturday's game is 6pm featuring a Helicopter Ball Drop. The Brick: Charleston's Favorite Tavern, 24 Ann Street host the 7th Annual Murica Bar Crawl on King Street Saturday 3-11pm. The City of Goose Creek & the military host Freedom Fest 2019 on Friday 6-10pm at Locklear Park, 107 Bancroft Street. This is a free event open to our Joint Base Charleston community! There will be live music by our favorite party band Zero to Never, a great kid's zone (you don't want to miss the mechanical shark!) and a giant fireworks display with food and beverage for purchase. Charleston Parks & Recreation host Cast Off Fishing Tournaments throughout the summer. Join them at the Mount Pleasant Pier and the Folly Beach Pier for a season of fishing tournaments! Freshfields Village at Kiawah & Seabrook Island entrances continue the Music on the Green Summer Series this weekend with a bang. Friday nights show will feature The Voltage Brothers 6-9pm playing Motown, beach, pop & rock. The event is complimentary and family-friendly. Vendors will be set up with food and beverages for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

Your Charleston County Waterparks are open this weekend. They include Whirlin' Waters at Wannamaker in N. Charleston, Splash Island at Palmetto Island County in Mt. Pleasant, and Splash Zone at James Island County Park. The three parks will open daily at the end of May and beginning of June. The Summerville Farmers Market brings local farmers, artisans, food trucks with live music to the historic downtown. The weekly event runs every Saturday from April to November. 8AM-1PM. Located behind Town Hall in historic downtown.

The Charleston City Night Market is an exciting showcase of more than 100 talented artists and craftspeople that occurs every Friday and Saturday evening from March - December. The Sound of Charleston, the city's longest running musical production, has been performing continuously since 2010. Several local wine shops offer wine tastings on Friday night to kick off TGIF. Over in Mt. Pleasant join Des at Crushed Fine Wine at 716 S Shelmore Blvd from 5-7pm as he hosts locals and samples some of the finest wines from around the world and different regions of America. The world famous Windjammer on the Isle of Palms is rocking this weekend. On Friday at the Jammer come out for Kids In America & Their 80's Tribute. On Saturday enjoy Stop Light Observations W/Mo Lowda & the Humble.
