Welcome to the Weekend Buzz on Holy City Sinner. Here's what's happening the first full weekend of September 2019. The following is a list of just a few events and happenings you might want to take part in during the weekend. Consider the list a cornucopia of happenings around the Lowcountry of Charleston. The Exchange Park in Ladson is the host location for the first annual Trucks, Taps, & Tunes Festival. The festival was born not only to fill a gap in the event scene by creating an event that is the first of its kind, but also to create a community platform to support independent small businesses. Come out and enjoy Charleston's favorite street eats! There will be down home music, multiple live bands, scores of crafters & concessionaires, a Biergarten with locally brewed beers, kid-friendly fun and, of course, the best Lowcountry cuisine including both savory and sweet options from over a dozen different local food trucks! As the nation's craft beer industry grows exponentially, so has the local Charleston craft beer scene over the last few years. We now boast 30 breweries & brewpubs, numerous craft beer-focused pubs, restaurants, retail stores, and a population ever-warming to the idea that beer should not only taste like something, but taste like something delicious. Take part in the 7th Annual Charleston Beer Week, taking place September 7th through the 14th as we highlight the wide variety of craft beer brands enjoyed in the area today with a wide variety of unique events you wouldn't normally find on your calendar.

Charleston Restaurant Week is happening now thru Sunday, September 22nd. Charleston Restaurant Week offers locals and visitors alike a chance to experience the world-renowned cuisine of Charleston chefs with prix fixe lunch and dinner menus. The Charleston Music Hall is busy this weekend. Friday Charleston Pride and CMH present LGBTLOL: A Night of Comedy. Tickets $15 - Individual | $10 - Charleston Pride Members. On Sunday at James Island County Park enjoy The Reckoning in the Park. Grateful Dead fans, rejoice! The popular local tribute band The Reckoning is coming to James Island County Park. The Reckoning offers a fresh new approach to the seemingly infinite library of songs and soundscapes that can only be defined as "Grateful Dead." Event happens 1-5pm. You won't want to miss Prism: The Official Party of Charleston Pride as they celebrate a fantastic week of Pride. It all takes place at Charleston Bus Shed & Visitor's Center

Surf's Up! Malibu Boats and WaterSki Events LLC are excited to announce the 2019 Malibu Open Professional Waterski event to be held at Trophy Lakes on John’s Island, September 13 & 14, 2019. The event will feature the worlds best men’s and women’s professional water skiers. These athletes will compete for more than $70,000 in prize money in the slalom and jump events. The Summerville Farmers Market brings local farmers, artisans, food trucks with live music to the historic downtown. The weekly event runs every Saturday from April to November. 8AM-1PM. Located behind Town Hall in historic downtown.

On Saturday thru Dec 28th visit the Lowcountry's Farmer's Market at Tanger Outlet in North Charleston. The market offers 40 rotating local vendors, farmers and food trucks each and every week. Charleston Stage Co. present 'Footloose, the Musical' at Dock Street Theater. Kick off your Sunday shoes and cut loose as the explosive rock ‘n’ roll musical sensation Footloose comes to the Dock Street Theatre for the first time. Join PURE Theatre 134 Cannon Street as it celebrates the world premiere of Last Rites by Randy Neale. It's the second day of the Detroit riots, in the summer of 1967. In the epicenter of the riot, three people take refuge from the chaos in a gas station. As the violence mounts outside, tensions rise inside as the three consider the harsh nature of loss and the inevitable combustibility of their differences. Woolfe Street Playhouse 34 Woolfe Street The Village Repertory Co is pleased to present Tennessee Williams’ Summer and Smoke' at the historic Woolfe Street Playhouse as the Season 19 opener.Summer and Smoke is set in Glorious Hill, Mississippi, and centers on Alma Winemiller, a highly strung, unmarried minister’s daughter, and the spiritual romance that nearly blossoms between her and John Buchanan Jr., a wild, undisciplined young doctor who grew up next door. 34 West Theatre Co. at 200 Meeting Street present 'Simply Irresistible''. The faculty of Arden High return for a new year of love and detention. But does Cathy hear wedding bells? The Black Fedora 164 Church Street downtown, offers clean comic whodunit shows most evenings, featuring volunteer audience participation and a la carte appetizers, desserts, and drinks. One-half block off the City Market. $24. A variety of audience participation mysteries that will delight all ages. If you love to laugh than Theatre 99 is the place to go. Friday at 8pm it's Improv Riot. Shows at Theatre 99 are improv parties where audience members laugh until it hurts. Come loaded with suggestions for the quick witted Theatre 99 ensemble members who will take your suggestions…and rock. Tickets $12.. On Saturday night come out for the infamous 'the Have Nots!'. The Charleston Pourhouse is hopping this weekend. On Friday at the House it's Fruition w/ TK & the Holy Know Nothings. Tickets $15. Showtime is 9pm.
