Eileen Dougherty, a resident of James Island, last week announced her candidacy for South Carolina State House of Representatives, District 115.
“As South Carolinians, we have more similarities than differences," Dougherty said. "The issues facing our community are not partisan issues, they are people issues.”
Dougherty previously served as the Southeast Senior Fisheries Conservation Manager for a environmental nonprofit. She left that role to work alongside her husband, Matt, in commercial fishing.
