Welcome to the Weekend Buzz on Holy City Sinner. Here's what's happening the third full weekend of September 2019. The following is a list of just a few events and happenings you might want to take part in during the weekend. Consider the list a cornucopia of happenings around the Lowcountry of Charleston. Mills Entertainment presents Theresa Caputo Live! The Experience at Gaillard Center 7:30pm Friday night. As the nation's craft beer industry grows exponentially, so has the local Charleston craft beer scene over the last few years. We now boast 30 breweries & brewpubs, numerous craft beer-focused pubs, restaurants, retail stores, and a population ever-warming to the idea that beer should not only taste like something, but taste like something delicious. Take part in the 7th Annual Charleston Beer Week, taking place September 7th through the 14th as we highlight the wide variety of craft beer brands enjoyed in the area today with a wide variety of unique events you wouldn't normally find on your calendar.

Uncork Charleston host another Wine Down Sunday on Sunday 4-9pm at 476 King Street. The event has been created to gather professionals in a space where we feel comfortable to express our individuality, comfortable to speak freely, comfortable to be ourselves. Charleston Restaurant Week is happening now thru Sunday, September 22nd. The annual Sea & Sand Festival takes place this Saturday 10-4pm on Folly Beach. A day of fun in the sun, the Sea & Sand Street Festival will include up to 75 arts, crafts, and fashion vendors, raffles, live music from four of Charleston’s top bands, two kid areas with lots of kiddo activities, and of course, our awesome Folly restaurants serving up some great food.

Up in Summerville the annual Sweet Tea Festival takes place on Saturday 9-3pm. Come out and join in for a fun-filled event throughout downtown Summerville! Come and enjoy the annual Sweet Tea Festival with plenty of sweet tea and food. Take your time while walking through the many unique shops, boutiques and vendor booths. Enjoy the local musical talents we’ll have throughout the historic downtown area.

The Fall Boat Show is back at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre this weekend. Featuring a display of 50+ boats from dealers Longshore Boats, Seel's Outboard, Duncan's Boats and Cape Romain Marine. Sunday afternoon over at MUSC Health Stadium your Charleston Battery host North Carolina FC in exciting professional soccer. Kick off is 2pm. Fun for the whole family. Charleston Parks & Recreation host Cast Off Fishing Tournaments throughout the summer. Join them at the Mount Pleasant Pier and the Folly Beach Pier for a season of fishing tournaments! The Summerville Farmers Market brings local farmers, artisans, food trucks with live music to the historic downtown. The weekly event runs every Saturday from April to November. 8AM-1PM. Located behind Town Hall in historic downtown.

On Saturday thru Dec 28th visit the Lowcountry's Farmer's Market at Tanger Outlet in North Charleston. The market offers 40 rotating local vendors, farmers and food trucks each and every week. Charleston Stage Co. present 'Footloose, the Musical' at Dock Street Theater. Kick off your Sunday shoes and cut loose as the explosive rock ‘n’ roll musical sensation Footloose comes to the Dock Street Theatre for the first time. Threshold Repertory Theatre continue their run of 'The Heir Apparent'. Paris, 1708. Eraste, a worthy though penniless young man, is in love with the fair Isabelle, but her forbidding mother, Madame Argante, will only let the two marry if Eraste can show he will inherit the estate of his rich but miserly Uncle Geronte. Flowertown Underground presents an LGBTQ+ themed game show! Two contestants plus an audience member will compete in an LGBTQ+ trivia themed game show sure to be hilarious and educational. The Black Fedora 164 Church Street downtown, offers clean comic whodunit shows most evenings, featuring volunteer audience participation and a la carte appetizers, desserts, and drinks. New  this weekend at the box office include 'Downton Abbey'. The television series Downton Abbey followed the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who worked for them at the turn of the 20th century in an Edwardian English country house.
