Calling all Lowcountry wine lovers! Do you want to learn about the world’s major wines, wine regions, and grape varieties? Presented by Bacchus & Books and Certified Wine Educator Thomas H. George (right), the WSET Level 1 Course is an introductory level course for which no prior wine knowledge is required. This amazing opportunity for Holy City wine fanatics will take place Saturday November 16th Monday, December 9th at the South Carolina Historical Society (100 Meeting Street) from 10 am to 5 pm.
This course is ideal for all wine lovers who want to establish a solid foundation of knowledge to take them to the next level of enjoyment. It is also the perfect course for food & beverage and hospitality professionals who want to gain a qualification that will set them apart from their peers. Enrolling in a WSET course will let employers know that you are serious about wine education and want to gain globally-recognized expertise.
The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in London in 1969 and is the largest global provider of wine and spirits qualifications. WSET qualifications are now taught in 15 languages in over 70 countries via a network of 800+ course providers and 75% of students now reside outside of the UK. The course price includes all course materials and tasting samples of wines from around the world. Upon successful completion of the course, students will also receive a personalized qualification certificate from the WSET and a lapel pin.
