Welcome to the Weekend Buzz on Holy City Sinner. Here's what's happening the fourth full weekend of November 2019. The following is a list of just a few events and happenings you might want to take part in during the weekend. Consider the list a cornucopia of happenings around the Lowcountry of Charleston. If you love comedy, plays, sports, food & festivals, you'll find something to do this weekend. 

Tis the season for lights. The Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park runs Nov 15th thru Dec 31st. Rain or shine events. Sun-Thurs 5:30-10pm, and Fri-Sat 5:30-11pm. More than just a driving tour, they invite you to park your car and explore the vendor village, Santa's Sweet Shoppe, a Victorian Carousel, sand sculptures, visits with Santa, and more. College basketball fans take note. The annual Charleston Classic happens this weekend at TD Arena. Eight teams from around the country compete in the classic held on CofC's home court. Among the teams competing include Miami, Florida, Xavier, UConn, and Towson out of the CAA. Games on Thurs, Fri & championship Sunday. For more visit https://espnevents.com/charleston-classic/

The College of Charleston Alumni Assn. host Cistern On the Half Shell: A Lowcountry Oyster Roast Saturday noon until 3pm. What better way to kick off the holidays than with oysters, chili, hot dogs, craft beer and wine, and live music by the Bluestone Ramblers! Student organizations, service clubs, sororities, and fraternities will host “mini reunions” for their alumni at tables around Cistern Yard. Clyde will be on hand for photos, so bring your Cougar Cubs! $65 per person including alcoholic beverages (21 or older); $45 per person age 15 or older not including alcohol; $20 per child ages 7–14; Free for ages 6 and under.

Enjoy the Charleston Symphony Orchestra this weekend at Gaillard Center as the CSO presents Rach 2 on Friday & Saturday nights beginning at 7:30pm. Performances under the direction of CSO Chorus, Dr. Robert Taylor, with Ken Lam as Conductor. The North Charleston Coliseum is busy this weekend. The Miss South Carolina USA & Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2020 take place at the Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday. The Charleston Music Hall is crazy busy this weekend. Classical Ballet Centre is proud to present its full version of The Nutcracker. Join them on Friday, and let your imagination transport you to a magical world of brave toy soldiers, dancing snowflakes and enchanting sweets. The dancers are so excited to share the magic of the holidays with you! Showtime 7:30pm. Tickets $15 adv & $20 dos. On Saturday 7pm at the Hall enjoy Cinderella by Palmetto City Ballet. Palmetto City Ballet’s original take on a family classic will highlight not only the outstanding PCB artists but also serve as a performance opportunity for the talented young artists within the greater Charleston dance community. Saturday 6-9pm it's another Murder Mystery Show presented by the Dinner Detective. Come be part of the action and enjoy a meal. The Summerville Farmers Market brings local farmers, artisans, food trucks with live music to the historic downtown. The weekly event runs every Saturday from April to November. 8AM-1PM. Located behind Town Hall in historic downtown.

On Saturday thru Dec 28th visit the Lowcountry's Farmer's Market at Tanger Outlet in North Charleston. The market offers 40 rotating local vendors, farmers and food trucks each and every week. Along with Live Music, tables and a dedicated kids zone this market has a little something for everyone. After you are finished shopping your local artisans go inside Tanger Outlets and shop over 80 national brands to complete your shopping experience.

Car enthusiasts enjoy Mt. P Cars & Coffee every Saturday morning 8-11am at Mount Pleasant Towne Center in the Barnes & Noble parking lot.

Pure Theatre 134 Cannon Street present 'Life Span of a Fact' this weekend. Jim Fingal is a fresh-out-of-Harvard fact-checker for a prominent but sinking New York magazine. John D’Agata is a legendary writer with a transcendent essay about the suicide of a teenage boy—an essay that could save the magazine from collapse. The world famous Windjammer on the Isle of Palms is rocking this weekend. On Friday come out for Last Resort and Eagles Tribute Show.. Show time is 10pm with $10 admission. New  this weekend at the box office include the long awaited animated sequel 'Frozen 2'. Why was Elsa born with magical powers?
