Ashley Hall Plantation Road is reopening to the public today, one month ahead of schedule. The road has been closed, from Arabian Drive to Sandcroft Drive, since November 2019 to allow construction of the bridge replacement project. The work included demolition of the existing bridge, construction of the new bridge, utility relocations, asphalt roadway tie-in work, drainage installation, and a new sidewalk from Arabian Drive to Sandcroft Drive.
The total project budget, including design/permitting and construction was $1.1 million. The project was completed within budget and ahead of schedule.
