Fetter Health Care Network Administers 2,493 COVID-19 Tests in Berkeley and Charleston Counties

Between Monday, May 4, 2020 and Friday, May 15, 2020, Fetter Health Care Network (FHCN) reported that it administered 2,493 tests throughout Berkeley and Charleston Counties. They administered a total of 472 tests in Berkeley County with 33 confirmed positives. Meanwhile, 2,021 tests were administered in Charleston County with three confirmed positives.

“Our team has been on the frontlines of helping the community throughout this pandemic for several weeks now,” Aretha R. Jones-Powers, CEO of Fetter Health Care Network, said. “We first initiated a testing site in Berkeley County and have now expanded into Charleston and Dorchester Counties. We anticipate moving into Colleton County early June.”

The mobile testing sites have rotated throughout various communities within Berkeley and Charleston County and began serving Dorchester County on Monday, May 18th, visiting a new location each day. Operating hours and locations vary. A full schedule for all mobile sites can be found at FetterCovid19Screening.org. Individuals are asked to employ social distancing while waiting for testing and are requested to wear face coverings.

Individuals who have a known exposure to COVID-19 or are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms can request a screening at FetterCovid19Screening.org or by calling 1-800-365-7410 to connect with a Fetter team member to initiate the screening process and connect with a medical provider. Although same-day testing will be available, individuals are highly encouraged to get screened before arriving for quicker service.

Currently, tests are given with no out-of-pocket cost to patients. All insurance providers in South Carolina are covering the cost of COVID-19 testing. Patient insurance information will be processed in order to complete testing. No co-pays or deductibles are being charged. All patients will be served if qualified for the test.
