North Charleston to Announce Face Mask Distribution Initiative

Press Release

North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey and city officials will hold a press conference on Monday, June 29th at 11 am in front of North Charleston City Hall to announce a face mask distribution initiative.

In an effort to reach citizens at a community level, public safety personnel will proactively engage those in our community who may not have access to proper face coverings in a citywide distribution campaign targeting high-traffic stores and vulnerable communities.

I am a senior citizen living in Charleston Farms on Attaway. I have my mentally disabled son/nephew plus my son’s 4 children who are also with Mental Health. I’ve been in this apartment since this began except Dr appts. I would like to get a little fresh air but doesn’t have the appropriate mask. May we get some delivered to this address, 5544 Attaway St Apt B2? Thanks

I’m as well am in a predicament with fractures in my back and a busted broken bursa sac that has bad nerve pain on my right leg. I only go out for meds and I have groceries delivered. I’m willing to wear the mask but I’m not able to get there to get them. It’s just going to continue to spread if everyone does not wear the mask. And I want to. Have a blessed day.
