After another popular virtual Holy City Vintage Market (HCVM) last weekend, the event is set to return on Sunday, September 13th, from 12 pm to 3 pm via Instagram. Shoppers can view hundreds of items for purchase over the span of three hours, all from their comfy couches.
How it works: Watch HCVM’s Instagram story as they re-post items for sale from 20 local vintage, secondhand, and artisan vendors. Shoppers can DM individual shops to arrange purchase and no-contact shipping, drop-off, or pickup details.
You’re encouraged to tag HCVM in pics of your pups, brunch, drinks, and style — and the market will re-post.
“We miss physical markets at favorite spots like Park Cafe, just like our regulars do, and that’s why we encourage everyone to show us your faces,” market founder Kelly Rae Smith said. “Whether it’s brunch takeout from Park Cafe (wink, wink) or home-brewed coffee, show us your Sunday vibes. Tag us and we’ll repost, and maybe we can sorta recreate that market feel.”
Raffle things: The market has used the past two virtual markets as opportunities to raise money for and awareness of local organizations Carolina Youth Action Project and Fresh Future Farm. The last market raised $635 for Fresh Future Farm, plus $130 in sustaining donations, which the Farm will receive monthly. Over 20 businesses donated merch to the grand raffle prize, which was awarded to Elizabeth Roberts during a drawing on Monday, August 3rd via Instagram live. The organization to benefit from the September virtual market will be announced later this month.
